Find your ExpressVPN account credentials

Disconnect from the VPN server location

In order to use ExpressVPN on your PC running on Windows 10, you will need to set up a new VPN connection. To set up a VPN connection, you will need aserver addressand youruser name and password. This section of the tutorial will show you how to find all of this information.

Open theWelcome Emailyou received when you signed up for ExpressVPN. Click thelink in the email.

If you cant find the link,sign in to your account here.

Once youve clicked the link in the welcome email or signed in to the website, click onSet Up on More Devices.

Click onManual Configon the left side of the screen and then selectPPTP & L2TP-IPSectab on the right. This will show you yourusernameandpassword. A list ofserver addressescan be found directly beneath your username and password. Click+to expand and see the addresses.

Keep this screen open!You will need to copy and paste these details later toset up your VPN connection. To copy, click on thecopy information iconon the top right corner of the box.

To add a new VPN connection, click theInternet access iconin your system tray.

If you are using a Wi-Fi connection, the icon will look like this:

If you are using an Ethernet connection, the icon will look like this:

From the menu that pops up, selectNetwork settings.

In the Network & Internet settings panel, selectVPNAdd a VPN connection.

To set up a VPN connection, you will need yourserver address,username, andpasswordfromStep 1.

In the Add a VPN Connection menu, use the following settings:

Connection name:[make up a name for your connection]

Server name or address:[ExpressVPN server address]

VPN type:Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)

Type of sign-in info:User name and password

User name: [username shown in the Manual Configuration (PPTP and L2TP-IPSec) section]

Password:[password shown in the Manual Configuration (PPTP and L2TP-IPSec) section]

Check the box forRemember my sign-in info.

Note:If you would like to connect to ExpressVPN on Windows startup, follow theapp setup instructions.

You will now see your new VPN connection in the Network & Internet settings panel. To connect to the VPN server, click thename of the connection, then clickConnect.

Awesome! Your VPN connection is now up and running.

Set up as many VPN server connections as you want by following the steps above.

To quickly connect to these servers, click on theWi-Fi iconorEthernet iconin the system tray, then select theserveryoud like to connect to.
